Beast of the weeK : Bassnectar - The 808 Track feat. Mighty High Coup

Now I have never been a fan of dubstep nor bassnectar, having said that, there is something so addictive about the hard hitting bass in the song. Not to mention the catchy chorus, dropped by Mighty High Coup, and the overlying high-toned  synth-riff atop the bass is so complimentary and enjoyable.

Recommended Dosage : As frequent as needed, with your bass turned up.

Hip-Hop Hump Day : Binary Star - Reality Check

"You ain't never heard an emcee speak like this / And Rodney King ain't never felt a beat like this"

Kickin' it old school today, with legendary duo - Binary Star. Now I am not opposed to modern rap, which lyrical focus is on slanging drugs and getting paid. It, as a form of entertainment is quite enjoyable. However I do prefer something with a little more conscious mind. Thus, let me introduce you to ' Reality Check '

Beast of the weeK : Daft Punk - TRON Legacy

Holy new Daft Punk Album batman!

The word 'epic' gets thrown around all too often these days, to the point in which it has lost all its credibility. But today, it has been saved. This album in the simplest of terms - is epic. This album has strings that are comparable to Hans Zimmer, and daft punk's subtle electronic sound have created something of cyber-opera.
The new album doesn't posses the tradition daft punk feel ( One More Time, Revolution 909, Something About Us etc. ), but it does shows how skilled as producers these two are. The album has been on loop since I have purchased it, and I like more every time I listen to it.  I have a feeling it will be on a constant replay for the next 72 hours or so.

MashUp Monday # 4 : Mansions on the Moon - Satellite feat. Deadmau5

I must preface by blatantly name dropping the individual who sent me this track. So all credit of finding the song goes to him, however all credit for exposing it goes to me.

Daniel Eleanor Mackwood, thank you.

Mansions on the Moon is comprised off NERD, Diplo, Benzi, Lane Shaw (just to name a few) whom have managed to create a mixtapes that broads an equally impressive genre listing. Full album and tour are anticipated to drop in the early 2011, keep your ears open for that.

Funk Friday : Duck Sauce - Goody Two Shoes ( Louis Laroche ) Edit

Holy shit kiddies, today is an amazing day. I suggest grabbing a new pair of boxers and a towel because this one is a phenom. Duck sauce drops a new track that has been edited by Louis La-motherfucking-roche. This is the sexual equivalent have getting head from the cute hipster chick from your sociology class while her; sexy, french, foreign exchange roommate talks dirty in your ear.
Goody Two Shoes has the classic Duck Sauce builds, breaks, and funky-ass disco lyrics, this track is up there with aNYway.

Oh and, you're welcome.
